This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you use our website and store. We follow the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and relevant UAE guidance.
1) What this policy covers
This policy applies to personal data we process through circuitgreen.com, including when you:
- browse the site, add items to cart, or make a purchase,
- create an account, contact us, or subscribe to updates,
- interact with embedded content or third-party services (e.g., payment providers, spam filters).
2) Personal data we collect
- Identity & contact: name, email, phone, billing/shipping address.
- Order & payment: order details, totals, currency; payment method tokenization handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
- Account data: login details, saved addresses, order history.
- Support: messages you send us (e.g., contact form, email).
- Technical: IP address, device/browser info, cookies, and similar identifiers.
- UGC/comments (if enabled): comment content, IP address, browser user-agent (anti-spam); if you use Gravatar, an email hash may be sent to fetch an avatar.
- Media uploads (if enabled): images may include EXIF/geo-location data.
3) Why we use your data (legal bases under the PDPL)
We process personal data for:
- Providing the service / contract: to take and deliver orders, manage your account, provide customer support and warranties.
- Legitimate interests: to keep our website and store secure, prevent fraud/abuse, understand basic site performance, and show relevant products (balancing tests applied).
- Legal obligations: record-keeping, taxation, and compliance.
- Consent: sending optional marketing emails, placing non-essential cookies, or using optional features you enable.
4) Cookies & similar tech
- Essential cookies run the cart, checkout, and account (cannot be switched off).
- Preference/functional cookies remember choices (e.g., language, currency).
- Analytics/marketing cookies (if enabled later) help us improve or promote our store.
You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
WordPress specifics: if you leave a comment, you can opt to save your name, email, and site in cookies (typically up to 1 year). Login and screen-options cookies are also used by WordPress to run the site.
5) Payments
We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe acts as our processor and may collect personal data directly from you at checkout (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay, card details). Stripe uses tokenization; we do not receive or store full card numbers. See Stripe’s privacy notice for details.
6) Who we share data with
We share personal data only with:
- Service providers (processors): web hosting and security, payment processing (Stripe), email and cloud services, shipping and logistics partners, anti-spam and fraud prevention tools, form providers (e.g., WPForms), and similar vendors, each under contract and limited to necessary processing.
- Authorities or advisors: if required by law, to protect our rights, or for audits and compliance.
We do not sell personal data.
7) International data transfers
When we transfer personal data outside the UAE (for example to a cloud/email provider or payment processor), we take steps required by the PDPL, which allows cross-border transfers subject to adequacy or appropriate safeguards/exemptions recognized by the UAE Data Office.
8) How long we keep data
- Orders & invoices: typically 6–7 years (legal/accounting).
- Support messages: up to 2 years from last contact.
- Accounts: while your account is active (and for a reasonable period after closure if needed for legal claims).
When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize data.
9) Your rights (PDPL)
You may have the right to:
- Access your personal data and get information about how it’s used,
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data,
- Erase data in certain cases,
- Restrict or object to processing (including direct marketing),
- Data portability (receive your data in a usable format),
- Not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing where they have legal or similarly significant effects.

10) Security
We apply administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the risk (access controls, encryption where appropriate, secure hosting, regular updates, and staff/contractor confidentiality). No method is 100% secure; we monitor and improve protections continuously.
11) Children
Our store is for general audiences and not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age permitted by UAE law; if you believe a child has provided data, contact us to remove it.
12) Comments & media (WordPress specifics)
If comments are enabled: when visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the form along with IP address and browser user-agent for spam detection; an anonymized hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar to display an avatar. If you upload images, avoid including EXIF/geo-location data—site visitors can download and extract that data.
13) Third-party links
Our site may include links or embedded content from other websites. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.
14) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” will show the latest version. Significant changes will be clearly notified on the site.
